Make Smart Decisions About What You Buy
By Chris Vine
I've made plenty of mistakes in my life regarding debt. I only wish I could go back in time and redo some of my spending decisions I made when I was younger. Obviously that is impossible, but maybe this post will help younger individuals who are about to go out and do something they might regret later in life.
I remember when I was 26, living in a nice area of San Francisco with three roommates. It was a good fun time in my life and I have several great memories from this period. I was very good with my money overall, but every once in a while something would come over me and I would do something that I would later regret.
When I was younger, I saw this new television at Circuit City (remember them?); I still remember the exact TV model. It was the Hitachi 61SWX10B and the price was $3,500. It was a rear projection television and was quite large; a 61″ unit that had a built in stand.
Of course, I was not going to go out and drop that much money on a television at that point in my life, but when I heard I could go out and get a new credit card with 6 months no interest financing I thought okay I can make this happen. My plan was to just put $500 down and then pay off $500 a month and I would get that TV without paying any interest.
I executed my plan flawlessly and I was the big man in the house; all my roommates loving that TV for all it was worth. Guest would come over and tell me it was the best TV they had ever seen and I ate it up. We watched movies, played video games, sporting events, we all enjoyed it.
About a year later, all of our lives changed and we went separate ways. Then it hit me, I was now stuck moving this massive television and the burden of moving it to my new place was quite a hassle. All my former roommates got to enjoy my big awesome television for free and they simply moved on. I was stuck with a $3,500 bill and now moving into a place that I could barely accommodate a television that size.
As it turned out, over the next couple of year's plasma televisions started coming out and my once super mac-daddy televisions seemed ancient. Within 4 years of my purchase rear projection TVs were no longer desired at all. I couldn't even sell it due to its large size, so when I moved I simply posted a free ad on Craigslist. Obviously, I gave it to the first interested party instead of trying deal with something that big and heavy with little to no value.
It would have been totally reasonable for me to just buy a $500 television, which also would have been a nice television, or to look into Craigslist and buy something there for an even better deal. But unfortunately, like most people can probably relate to, I had to get the biggest and best product on the market. Looking back I realize it was a very poor decision on my part.
It was clearly not the end of the world, but being 41 now, if I would have not have bought that $500 television and invested the other $3,000, today the money I spent would be worth more than $20,000 and in another 20 years, it would be close to $200,000.
These are the typical decisions that everyone makes, especially the younger society, not necessarily bad decisions, but definitely irresponsible ones. We all make them, as we don't actually think about the long term effects of what we buy.
The key is to cut back, save and invest. It might look like you're not building much over a few months or even a year, but continued savings over a decade or 2 can have dramatic jaw dropping effects. Do you want to give your 20 something self the latest electronics or do you want to give your 40 something self a better, easier life?

Spiritual Growth - What Exactly Is It and How Does It Affect You?
By Jo Bie
For most people, life is a series of repetitions and coincidences, a daily, weekly, yearly and even lifetime struggle to make sense of circumstances and situations we find ourselves. For most people, too, life is a bitter disappointment because our answers are neither tangible nor explainable to an understandable level. The query begs - How is this even possible? Can anything under this sun ever be figured out?
Gladly, it's not about the answers. It's about a whole different animal - knowing oneself. See, if you understand and know yourself, then you will automatically have control of what goes on in your immediate surroundings. And this in turn ripples through every other "larger" aspect of life. "Larger" in quotes because, from reality's standpoint, there is NOTHING bigger than you. Well, at least until you allow it to be.
What I'm saying is that everything starts and ends with you - your body, mind, and spirit are all under your control as a "human being." As you're being human, you "make" life happen accordingly by your daily feelings, thoughts, and actions. Note that no human affiliation, religious or political, is afore-mentioned!
1. DEFINING SPIRITUALITY
Now I know this is some really precarious territory we are venturing around, what with the myriad of personal ideas or dogmas on what this is, how to live the life, and its relationship to you and I in the grander scheme of things. But I will not hesitate to start by saying "Life is indeed WHAT you make it." I am not in any way claiming that "life events" affecting humanity are self-engineered, but in the same measure I would be a fool not to agree that our reactions to these "life events" are indeed, self-engineered. Why else would two people facing the same exact event react differently? Now that's spirituality.
Permit me to wade deeper. Whatever event life brings at you is not and will never be up to you. You found yourself in this world and as a human being you are engineered to adapt and thrive. Naturally. But still, even that is up to your personal choice. You respond to life as you see fit, depending on what's INSIDE of you. An interesting definition I came across once of spirituality is "that process of realigning your sense of self with something you may never have thought was within you." Curtly, spirituality is a journey of self-discovery. It is the path to enlightenment. This journey is BIGGER than us, and extends beyond our births and deaths. It is, indeed, as vast as consciousness. And it is called "growth" because all that is possible is just growing into higher levels of it with no end goal other than enlightenment, which also is infinite in its nature.
COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT SPIRITUALITY
One of the first things you can do to grow spiritually is to let go of any preconceived ideas you have about spiritual growth.
1. Being spiritual is being religious or pious:
Spirituality is NOT religion - it is the knowledge and proper application of universal laws that are as real as they are invisible. Let me explain. "Religion" as a word is said to originate from the Latin phrase "Re-ligare" or "Relegere," which in itself has alternate meanings depending on grammatical placement in language and who's talking.
The 1st, "to bind/tie/hold back," literally means that - to keep one in a certain place and/or prevent one from moving forward with something, or to remain within a certain boundary of conduct for a specific reason or purpose. Used this way, religion as an event tends to hold one back from their spiritual journey.
The 2nd points at the act of "going over literature, or re-reading," which still keeps one in a state of repetition and doesn't imply progress - rather, indoctrination. A probable inference would be that both definitions are talking about stagnant being, for lack of better terms. Of course, it could go both ways with this. One could be positively "held back" from negative actions and living, or negatively rooted in that negative state of mind that inhibits personal self-discovery, spirituality. Religion, having its main purpose as a fetter, will sufficiently keep some from negativity, just as well as it will hold others back from their inner growth and knowledge, depending on what doctrine or discipline one chooses to allow into his/her life. Either way, it's up to you to assess whether your religion (if you have one) is helping you or keeping you from discovering yourself with its "guidelines."
The 3rd scenario, which came later from Roman philosophy and anthropology, denotes it as "re-attach" or "re-link" oneself to a higher power and in the process find oneself again. This throws in a twist - is there a true kind of attachment which helps you find yourself? Is there a false religion that could and would keep you from discovering who you really are and what your purpose is in life? It is very possible to be totally religious and yet not spiritual whatsoever. A diligent piece of information for those ascribing to Christianity/Judaism can be found here.
2. Spirituality has an end/ finish line:
Spirituality as a goal is NOT targetable - you can NEVER be fully spiritual. This is one of the biggest markers of someone who has no clue it's a journey. It's not a destination. So you can't possibly say you are satisfied/content with yourself as a human because you know you always have room to improve and better yourself. And so long as you have that reality in mind, you will never catch yourself being "self-righteous" and self-sufficient; not even the most successful person in life can dare say so because there's always something "missing"!
Now for a small dose of reality. "Enlightenment" is defined as being "very skilled at holding and radiating light." It is not a place you reach where you stop growing and are perfect. No matter how high you go there are higher and higher levels you can reach. Being enlightened simply means you have tools and resources to handle all the energies of life in such a way that you add clarity, harmony, and light to everything around you. Since energy is ever-changing, there's then NO LIMIT to the growth that is possible!
On another note, there are MANY paths to enlightenment, keeping in mind there is ONE destination - finding yourself and your place in life and the universe at large. Choose the path that is most joyful to you and in alignment with YOUR values. Now you may choose one path at one time and another one at another, or many paths concurrently, but go toward those disciplines you are drawn to. Don't feel like you must pursue something that doesn't appeal to you just because others say it is the "right" way to grow.
3. Spiritual growth requires Religious activity:
While you may be able to align yourself with a positive religion that helps you with proper tools and resources for self-discovery, it is not necessary to be able to do these things to be highly enlightened. You may have heard that enlightenment, the destination of spiritual growth, involves having past-life memories, ability to meditate for hours, ability to live in states of continual bliss, among others.
However, many highly spiritual souls have no past-life memories, don't spend their days meditating, and have no "superhuman" abilities. On the contrary, you will find many of them working in every possible area to lift the condition of humanity, raise consciousness, and bring more light into their areas of service. They are doing many practical things with their lives and creating many positive results. Their work acts as their meditation and provides their opportunities for spiritual growth. They have learned to focus upward while they are focused outward in service. They don't need superhuman abilities to accomplish their higher purpose, and neither do you.
4. Spiritual growth is Difficult:
Herein is a huge bone of contention. It has been said that the process can be quite painful, considering as we mentioned before it involves letting go of preconceived ideas that you may have about what it involves. Again, "life is what you make it." If you are coming from a religious, cultural or politically "correct" standpoint, then it definitely will be the elephant in your room since you have to learn about you from a higher perspective. You may very well be harboring "layers upon layers of old beliefs, habits and thought patterns that are toxic... tearing down walls." If this is you, facing those "demons" can be quite a heinous task which will most likely be painful to you as you start and even further down the journey.
It is ultimately your choice how you will grow though. You can choose to grow with joy rather than struggle! Your mind is a wonder - what you believe, you receive. Do you believe that growth comes from struggle? If so, you will create crises by which to grow. So do yourself a huge favor and dissolve any negative pictures you have about growth. Give yourself permission to have valuable and worthwhile things, such as your spiritual growth, come easily. It takes far less time and energy to grow through joy than through struggle. Understand that you do NOT have to work hard day and night, feel exhausted, or surmount incredible odds and obstacles to have worthwhile achievements and grow spiritually.
Some people worry when things get "too easy." As you increase your vibration, things WILL get easier. The challenge, truly, is not in how hard things are, but in how expansive you can make your vision and how much can be accomplished with economy of joy, energy, and creative intent! If you have a situation in your life right now that is less joyful than you want it to be, realize that is is teaching you important lessons - maybe how to reach into the deepest part of your being and gaining a new strength and courage. You can choose to learn from these lessons and gain these qualities with joy. Just comfort yourself in the notion that things may not change overnight, but they WILL change.
Once you begin your path - seeking, learning, exploring the greater being you are, and uncovering the mysteries of the universe - you will never be the same. You may stop for a while or decide to slow down, but after you experience the joy of growing you will not want to stand still for long. In fact, as many of you are aware, you may never want to stop!
5. Spiritual growth is a step-by-step process:
No, it doesn't have to be. It can be instantaneous. Think of some quality you would like to have right now, such as inner peace, greater focus, or more self-love. How long do you think you'd have to wait to acquire these qualities? Say to yourself, "I accept more of this quality into my life. I am NOW more peaceful, focused, and loving to myself," or whatever fits the quality you choose. As you say these AFFIRMATIONS you increase your experience of these qualities.
Understand that your subconscious mind does not know the difference between what is true and what you THINK is true. So use the present tense in your affirmations - "I am now peaceful" instead of the future "I will be peaceful," so you can reprogram your subconscious mind to accept these thoughts as your reality. As it does it will create changes in your life to match this inner reality.
6. Spiritual growth is alien to & separate from everyday life:
Nothing can be further from the truth. Spiritual growth is discovering YOURSELF. That in itself is reality in no better terms. In fact, making your everyday life work is an important part of your spiritual growth. Paying your rent, taking good care of yourself, and being self-sufficient are as important to your spiritual growth as meditating.
Growth for humanity comes from living life fully, not from avoiding life and going off to a cave to meditate all day. You are here to learn from each person, each situation, and every challenge you have. You are here to learn to be fully present and aware of what is happening around you, adding more clarity, harmony, and light to all you do.
Spiritual growth is learning to make your life work in every area, from your relationships to your career. As you put your spiritual light into everything you do, bring awareness and love to all your activities, and turn every experience into an opportunity for growth, you are indeed being your spiritual self. In the beginning you might just focus on it occasionally, but as you continue on your path, it will become an increasingly important part of your life.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
More than you can ever imagine!
The spiritual path can be one of immense play and deep inner joy. Spiritual growth gives you the tools to make your everyday life work and bring increasingly higher levels of order, harmony, clarity and love into EVERY area of your life. Your growth is the single most important thing you can focus on if you want a joyful, peaceful and loving life.
As you grow, you will be able to see the bigger picture of your life. As you link with the Higher Force you ascribe to that works within you, you will gain more awareness of humanity's evolution and your part in it; you will discover your life's work and the tools you need to carry it out and create real results in the physical world.
Your life's work will make a useful contribution to people, the plant or animal kingdoms, or the earth itself. It will be something you love to do! You can thereby do what you love all the time; your work can be your play!
Your growth will greatly contribute to your mastery of living, allowing joy, love and aliveness. The more you work on your growth, the more easily you will manifest what you want. Every moment spent loving others, growing, and expanding your aliveness will create enormous gains. Think of it as a great gift to yourself, a wonderful treat you deserve to have, and believe you can reach your enlightenment in this life - and you will.
HOW TO BECOME TRULY SPIRITUAL AND AVOID SOCIAL, POLITICAL AND RELIGIOUS "CORRECTNESS."
Finally! As we wind this conversation down, I would like to sincerely thank you for hanging on this long and hope it has been beneficial to you.
There is, within every one of us, a certain state of spiritual "nothingness" (you can call it a void) where you can go into for several realistic purposes - to expand beyond your current limits, let go of old things, and move to your next level of spiritual growth. Herein you leave behind familiar structures, habits, thoughts, behaviors, and attitudes, and go deeper within to create new ones that match your higher vibration. In this state, you can receive insights and do much inner work. It can last for minutes, hours, days, or even months. Guaranteed you will experience this void throughout your spiritual journey, and it is your ability to handle its obligations that will assist you in growing even faster and more joyfully.
By you having this experience, you are like a bird leaving a familiar jetstream to join a higher air flow. Since the conditions between the two air masses are turbulent and unfamiliar, the bird may lose flight and fall below the original path temporarily. However, those uncertain conditions teach the bird much about itself, flying and the conditions that can affect its flight. After all that it stabilizes and flies easily in the higher flow.
In relation, your void occurs when you are letting go of an aspect of your personality that no longer fits who you are becoming. Though you may not know what to do or how to react at those points, understand that EVERY void is marked by issues of the heart. You will find yourself asking deep questions - "Who am I? Am I lovable? Can I have what I want? What would I want to do with my life?" It is essential to know that it is only when you stop knowing in your "normal" way and experience the "not-knowing" that you can connect with new knowledge. The void gives you many choices and new possibilities!
Which brings us to the real issue - to become TRULY spiritual, you have to learn how to Lift The Veils Of Illusion! Lifting the veils of illusion means being able to remember who you are and what your higher purpose is. It is learning to see the world in the eyes of your spiritual self, knowing what is truth and what is illusion. Reality and Truth depend on your rate of vibration. The higher your vibration, the more you are able to love yourself and treat others with compassion. For instance, at one vibration level, revenge may be a way to handle the feeling of being wronged - revenge would be that person's truth. At a higher level the person may understand the spiritual law of Cause and Effect, and instead forgive the wrongdoer. As you increase your spiritual vibration, your truth will expand and the veils of illusion will disappear.
Illusions promise to give you one thing but actually give you something else. Here comes religion (false at that), culture, and politics. You experience this when you get something you wanted and it doesn't give you what you thought it would. Judgments stop you from seeing things as they really are, so you have to really let go of your judgments to see beyond illusions. Learn to observe without comparing, projecting your thoughts onto others, evaluating, or making up stories about what is happening. When you judge others, you are actually projecting your thoughts about reality onto them, and these thoughts may not describe them accurately at all (Parents yelling at their children in the store doesn't mean they are bad - they might be tired, under pressure, or doing just what is perfect for their children at that moment).
Watch people without making any judgments about who they are, and you will sense more about them. Find something beautiful about each person and concentrate on that. You cannot serve others when you separate yourself from them by judging them! Learn to see the bigger picture of who people are by looking beyond the roles they play. It is an illusion to think that if you're spiritually evolved you must be famous or highly visible as a spiritual leader. Fame and wealth do not indicate one's enlightenment; both spiritual and unspiritual people have fame and wealth.
Also, mass agreement that things are a certain way can create illusions. Illusions come from accepting other's thoughts and beliefs WITHOUT questioning their value to you. If you will create new possibilities and bring about higher truths to your world, you need to see the world clearly. Don't accept things just because others do. Question what you are hearing and reading. Learn to go beyond what is commonly held to be true and discover your OWN truth. You will need to learn your truth and come from your Integrity, which is an important part of spiritual growth!
And what is Integrity? It is living the truth you know! It is acting, talking and behaving in ways that honor yourself and others. It is examining things before you do them and doing only those things you know to be true - in harmony with your beliefs and values. Don't strive to be "correct," but instead choose to take opportunities that come your way not because they seem glamorous but because they make a contribution to others. This takes courage, and before you lift the veils of illusion you may not be certain you will like what you see. Once you lift them, however, you will gain a greater ability to know truth and recognize your and other people's spiritual selves, be able to focus on your higher purpose, and become your own authority!
As you lift these veils, you will surely gain enormous rewards; TRUE spiritual power comes from being able to see things clearly.
To Your Spiritual Success!

Influence Anyone In Seven Small Steps
By Vikas Prabhav
Influence - What is it?
Influence literally translates to the power to have an effect on people or things. Unknown to us, we constantly influence and are being influenced by a myriad of factors affecting our every decision. Even something as simple as our choice in tooth paste stems from an unbelievable number of influences from the external world. Influence is universal and is not restricted by species or by geography. The list of factors that help in influence may seem infinite, but yet social scientists have shortened the list to just under ten! In this article, we will learn how to influence other members of our own species, to get them to do what we want them to do.
How do we influence people?
We all influence people for some kind of gain, stock brokers, salesmen, managers, employees, bosses, house maids... the list is endless. We do something for our boss, so that a day's leave may be excused. We shower the spouse with love, so that we are loved too. We sweet talk the salesman, hoping for a small discount. We influence everything we interact with and vice versa. So how do we get people to do what we want them to do?
The 7 major shortcuts to influence people in today's world are:
1) Reciprocation and exchange.
2) Unanimity and concord.
3) Friendship and trust.
4) Paucity or scarcity.
5) Authority.
6) Integrity.
7) Commitment and dependability.
Breaking it down!
Identifying and applying these seven principles of influence can get you what you want, when you want it. However, use these with caution, too much and one may begin to look desperate or needy. These principles can be applied to anything ranging from getting your crush to date you to getting a promotion at work.
Let's start with commitment and dependability. Let's say Josh wants to ask Jane out on a date. Before the active process of influence ever begins, Josh needs to be committed to the task at hand and Jane needs to know that Josh isn't going to pull one over her. A lack of commitment or using deceit to influence people can never work in the long term and will possibly lead to more harm than good. So, before you try to influence anybody make sure all the people involved are getting a fair deal!
Reciprocation and exchange - Humans are designed to remember favors and return them. Most people who are at the receiving end of a favor usually feel indebted to the person doing the favor. This principle of exchange means that, you will probably have to do good before you can expect anything good. Thus if Josh were to help Jane out with something, maybe give her a ride home someday, this automatically improves his chances by a slight extent. A salesman who calls you with genuine offers, is likely to get your business more often than not.
Unanimity and concord - More the number of people on your side, more the power of your influence. It is always easy for people to move with the tide than against it. If Josh was an all around great guy, this grossly improves his chances of scoring a date with Jane. People flock to the already crowded restaurants, don't they? In business, a simple way to get people to back you is by obtaining testimonials and reviews. Josh, can utilize social networks in a similar fashion.
Friendship and trust - Would you lend your car to a friend? If yes, why? Would you give a stranger your car keys? if no, why?. Trust is central to influence, and one has no chance of influencing a person who does not trust the influencer. This is where past deceit could be incredibly detrimental. Imagine if Josh has a history of relationships in which he was unfaithful, what chances does he have with Jane?
Paucity or scarcity - When are the stores doing their best business? Why do we feel the need to update to the newest phone instantly? Because for a day or two, we will be the only ones with that "rare" piece of technology. Scarcity always sells, for Josh, being an extra nice guy may make him look like a scarce resource. For a doctor, the extra smile may make him seem like a rarity. For your business, some exclusive information about the products you sell may make you stand out.
Authority - Ever wonder why you don't question your doctor as much as you question a salesman. Why do doctors flaunt their degrees and diplomas in their offices? Why do lawyers fill their offices with books of law, although they read only from their I pads? To flaunt authority, and with increasing authority, compliance also rises. Never miss the opportunity to subtly flex authority to get people to do what you want. Authority may not apply to romantic relationships, like in the movie Hitch. What about Josh? I am not sure if authority is going to help him secure a date!
Integrity - The most important of the seven principles. If at anytime along the way, one notices a loss of integrity, remember that failure could be lurking around the corner. Any kind of deceit or hidden agenda comes at the cost of one's integrity as a human being. The persistence with trying to influence people despite lost integrity would lead to loss of self esteem and a distorted self image and just would just not be worth it in the long run. Now, if Josh was trying to take Jane out on a date by faking the principles of influence, self doubt and guilt could deny him the fruit of love.
Putting it together.
Now that we know the seven principles of influence, we need to be able to put it together. Every situation offers a opportunity for practice. Smile at the ticket conductor and he might not pester you for change, buy your co-worker a coffee and he might not look so disgruntled when you take your vacation.Give your clients exclusive leads and they will keep coming back to you. But for long term benefits, you need the 8th principle.
Patience - It might take years before the principle of reciprocation might help one out. It might take years for one to build authority and years more to build good will. It is of importance that through this timeline one remains dedicated and consistent. The results will come and when they do, you will be content that you put in the hard work.
At the end of it all, you will be seen as a friendly, benevolent, scarce and trusted authority who can influence people for their own good.

Healthy Foods Can Help You With Your Weight Loss Goals
By Joseph Papabuadoo
We have said that eating healthy foods will definitely help you lose weight. And someone may ask what constitutes healthy foods? My personal definition of healthy foods is the green vegetable foods and fruits. These I also call the clean foods as they are clean, low in calories and do not have any residues after eating them. Unlike the high calorie foods and its fatty cousins which always leave bad residues of waste in your system, fruits and vegetables do not leave such residues that are why I see fruits and vegetables as healthy foods. On the meaty side, clean foods include foods like chicken, turkey and fish.
These meats are lean on fat and calories compared to raw beef. Lentils, dry beans and peas are also passing as clean foods. When one starts eating from the green vegetable and lean meat foods listed above, they will start losing weight because of the fact that fruits, vegetables and whole grain foods have high concentration of complex carbohydrates and fiber in them which the body can slowly absorb them and thus cause our hunger pangs to be satisfied quickly and efficiently.
The case against processed foods is that because their nutritional values are low and the fact that they do not make us feel full easily like the natural foods, they do not make us feel satisfied and this like addiction causes us to want to eat more of it when we know for sure that it is against our weight loss or maintenance goals. I once read a book about natural foods and the author said in that book that bad foods like drugs leave behind their unhealthy residue of waste behind after eating them so that as the residues stay in our system, it causes us to want to eat more to cover up the poisoning effect of that residues. You see, when we are not eating, our stomach gets into the mode for cleansing and when that happens, the poisons are all bubbled up from the tissues of our stomach into the surface.
When that happens we start feeling sick or weak and this I have found out that when it happens will cause people to eat more foods to stop the stomach's cleansing work thus stopping the poisons from coming up to the surface and with this stopping comes our relief from the weakness that the food residues now turning into poison causes us to feel. Usually, people who undergo long periods of fasting for detoxification purpose experience this effect but even if you are not fasting one can still experience a mild form of this experience which even that is not convenient. This explains why people who eat junk food tend to eat more and that as already mentioned above is to stop them from getting sick or weak from the poisons in their stomachs that the stomach is trying to evict at ever chance of not eating for a few hours of time.
Even though manufactures of food argue that there is a need to include preservatives into our foods to preserve them and make them last longer, the side effect of such practice is not good as it has caused many of industrialized world's health to deteriorate as it stands now. Perhaps our biggest nutritional mistake has been turning away from foods in their natural state. We have replaced them with processed foods that have been modified to last longer, be easier to manufacture and distribute, and be more convenient to store and use.
For example, when I go to the grocery store, I see apple Juice that has no fiber at all and then when I go to a health food store, I see apple Juice with the fiber in them. Unfortunately the apple Juice with the fiber in them are expensive and they are not found any where except in health food stores so a great majority of the population do not get access to the healthy apple Juice except the one that has been heavily processed and all the fiber taken out from them. The apple Juice with the fiber in them are the good ones because they are full of fiber and are able to help aid weight loss and good health. The apple Juice with no fiber is usually full of added sugars and they tend to contain more calories than the regular apple or the apple Juice with the fiber. This is to say that process foods are not good that is why they are usually less expensive than the healthy unprocessed equivalents.
Natural foods are good for our health and can easily aid us in losing weight and staying healthy. It is full of vitamins, minerals and fiber and contains cancer fighting antioxidants that are contained in natural unprocessed foods. These foods help reduce the risk of suffering from diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and cancer and even help us to reduce weight and stay fit and healthy.
The foods that are processed may be added to what I call the bad foods as they are usually not healthy for us and contain lots of salt, sugars, preservative, saturated and Trans fats. Most nutritionist will tell you that the outer skin of foods in general are more nutrients than even the part that we think we must eat but unfortunately the outer parts of foods is what is thrown away as unfit for food. Take potato for example, the outer skin is more nutritious than the inner food but yet most people will throw out the outer skin and eat the starch within it. Since processed foods do not have fiber in them and are
full of additives and food dyes for color they are not healthy for us and in most cases can make one sick.
The human body needs clean environment to stay healthy and eating foods doused with foreign chemicals and ingredients will not help us at all but will make people worse off. But as suggested above, eating healthy natural foods with high natural fiber and nutrients are good for us and can help us to lose weight and remain healthy and thin. It will cause you not to be hungry needlessly but will help shield you from the hunger pangs and cause you to stay slim, healthy and enjoy your life fully. Always remember that it is not about taste or quantity of food that matters but it is the quality of the food and the health it promotes that matters and with no food residues left in our system will also mean that craving for the bad foods will be eliminated or drastically reduced.
Losing and maintaining weight is so important that one cannot play with it. This has lead me to write the above article to alert people who are health conscious that the benefits of eating healthy foods out smarts the benefits of food taste and quantity. On my website located at: [http://www.howtolooseweightips.com], you will find incredible information about weight loss and maintenance to help you with your weight loss goals.

Midlife Career Change - Success in 7 Simple Steps!
By John Groth
4. Adding Qualifications and Education: Once you've identified a possible career look carefully at the normal qualifications and skill sets required. Do you have a possible gap in any area?
5. Networking your way to Success: Find others working in your planned career. You can locate them through friends, relatives, co-workers, or area or national career related associations, or LinkedIn and other social networking sites.
Midlife career change, find career change success in 7 simple steps.
A mid-life career change can be a challenging project. Think about the possible results after you make the career change. The rewards should bring you new job satisfaction and fulfill a range of personal and financial needs.
Midlife career changes occur for a variety of reasons. One reason not to stay in your current career is that you've achieved some success and you then rationalize staying in a job as you are becoming more and more disillusioned and miserable. Another thing you might hear is that you shouldn't be changing careers because at your age it either can't be done and you should be satisfied "you do have a job don't you."
Leaving one career for another for the wrong reasons will not fix the problems; it will just transport them to a new location.
As you develop your midlife career change plan here are 7 steps to consider:
1. Where are you now? Carefully consider you current career. Is there anything you can do to make the situation better? Can you transfer to another career with the same employer? Is it the employer or the career that's the problem? If it's your current employer that's the problem, should you consider staying in the current career with another employer?
2. Self-Assessment and Research: Review your skills and knowledge. What do you enjoy doing? What do you not want to do? Why? Do you have any interests that translate into a new career? Are there parts of your current career you really enjoy? Do not enjoy? What skills and knowledge are required in prospective careers? What possible gaps do you have to fill to qualify for the new career?
Gather information about prospective careers by talking to those currently working in the field, reading job descriptions and other internet resources. After you've analyzed your situation, looked carefully at your likes and dislikes and sketch out a possible direction building a new career plan. As you research possible new careers you should write out new career goals. Stay flexible and be willing to move in another direction if you reach a dead end.
3. What are the skills you bring to your new career? Your new proposed career may require different or additional skills and knowledge. However, with your previous experience you will find a whole family of transferable skills to your new career.
Skills and accomplishments in leadership, project management, problem solving, communications and others will cross over into the new career. How you list achievements in these skills on your resume and cover letter will help get you noticed and scheduled for the job interview.

If the career requires specific training or education can you cover it with self-study, internet learning, or seminars and workshops? Perhaps a night course in a local junior college would be sufficient. Or a mentor could put you on a path toward completing the required qualification.
Sometimes the requirement is career related experience. This can be solved by doing work for a non-profit, or helping on a committee in a career related association, or part-time, temp or working as a contractor.

You can learn a great deal about your proposed career by speaking to those currently working in the career. There are many good articles about making maximum use of this resource. Study the information available to turn networking into a valuable source of career information.
6. Financial Planning is a Must: You must integrate financial planning into your midlife career change plan. Your prospective new career may not pay you what you earned in your old career. How you cover the shortfall is important. It can be a combination of savings or reduction in expenses.
Be realistic in you planning on promotions and pay increases in your new career. With proper financial planning you can reduce your money concerns in the job change. In your career planning you may find you need to make several jobs change to qualify for your proposed career. This also must be factored into your career and financial planning.
7. Plan for Success in your New Career: You've now gotten a job on the first rung of your new career ladder. It is absolutely not the time to coast or put you career plan in the closet.
Continue your course of study and reading in the new career field and business and leadership in general. If your new employer offers help in added education take advantage of his offer.
Work carefully with you new boss on what is expected in the job; under promise and over deliver. Keep your eyes open for opportunities to excel. Build up your network of like-minded individuals. Help others find their dream careers, you'll feel great and be building a productive network
Keep working and building your career plan. If you do your midlife career change will be nothing but successful.

How Creating New Relationships "On Purpose" Will Dramatically Increase Your Income
By Michael Lamb
So, from that day forward, every time the phone would ring, when I met someone new, received a referral or an email request I began to feel the anticipation as if I had just earned another one thousand dollars. Some days I would make cold calls or go to places out of the blue with the intention of meeting just one person.
How would you like to spend 20 to 30 minutes every day building one new relationship a day that will double, perhaps even triple your income?
I'm going to toss a new wrinkle into the relationship building game. I want you to think about two words could have dramatic affect on your life and your income.
Those two words are "on purpose."
What do you think might happen if you started creating new relationships on purpose? And what if you attached an immediate dollar amount value to each of those new relationships?
That's what I did several years ago and my results have been nothing short of amazing. I know it might sound cold and calculating to think like this, but bear with me.
It all started one evening as I was doing an Internet business seminar for a local S.C.O.R.E. chapter. I was talking about how to increase the value of email in your business. I looked down and, by chance, in my materials, I had one of those thousand dollar bill bookmarks you can buy at your local bookstore. Hold one up and it looks just like a $1,000 bill.
I wanted to impact the audience on the importance of building their email list so I told them they should treat each email address as if someone just handed them a $1,000 bill and I held up that bookmark.
Then I said, " How would you like to build One New Relationship A Day. And how many of those relationships would you like that each one puts an additional one thousand dollars in your pocket?"
The reaction was immediate. Some audience members sat up. Some smiled broadly. Many whom I thought was asleep began asking questions. What I had discovered was the value label I attached to their future relationships that could begin with an email dialog made sense to them. They no longer just saw an abstract email address. They saw potential income.
I knew I had stumbled on to something and so my little "on purpose" relationship income experiment began. I started thinking what would happen if I purposely viewed every email relationship I created as a potential income stream that was worth a minimum of one thousand dollars and worked toward that goal. Of course, I believed each one would have to be a win-win and without a doubt there had to be real value for both parties involved.

From then on I started each day knowing I was going to meet someone new and create another relationship on purpose. Some days the momentum is so great I created multiple new relationships with. It's became quite remarkable. I started attracting more people who wanted to work with me and give me money. Imagine that.
At some point I begin to track daily the purposeful creation of these new relationships. With each one I had a short conversation to discover what they needed and how I might be able to help them. Each time, in the back of my mind, I knew we would each at some point put a thousand dollars or more into our respective pockets.
To help you better understand this concept let me familiarize you with two terms I created for my experiment. They are Relationship Value and Relationship Income.
Relationship Value and Relationship Income
RV is the abstract value that you place on a new relationship. RI is the actual income that comes to through new relationships you create on purpose.
I know not every relationship manifests into one thousand dollars in RI from a client or customer, but it doesn't matter. I just know that each new relationship will eventually lead to one that does. So each new relationship actually increases my RV.
Every day it happens. It's incredible to watch as one person leads to another. New situations that create new income. Each new relationship somehow puts RI or trackable relationship income into my pocket.
Now I know the idea of building new relationships is nothing new for you, but perhaps focusing your intention on purposely defining one new relationship a day is.
I personally define a "new relationship" as having that initial conversation that helps outline how the relationship will develop. For me those are usually phone calls that last about 20 minutes or an email dialog that goes beyond one or two emails. That's enough time for me to realize what I need to do to begin the process with that new person.
I make a physical note of the day, how they came to me and the talking points from our initial conversation. I don't do anything else. I just continue my day and move on to the next relationship if there are any more for that day.
What makes this concept so amazing is I've gone back through my tracking sheets to see the results of these new "on purpose" relationships. Over the last 18 months there has been a dramatic increase in my actual income, my resources and my business holdings. I can attribute much of it to my creating one new relationship a day on purpose.
Most of us have learned to understand the value of relationships, but until I started following the path and tracking new relationships I never realized how much control I had over the income that would come from "purposely focusing" on creating new relationships.
How much could this idea be worth?
Think about the value of this one idea and how it could impact your own income. You create one new relationship a day on purpose. Think of each one having real immediate value. You can apply whatever RV or Relationship Value you want. I use one thousand dollars and it continues to work well for me.
If you could build one new relationship for each day of the year you would have a relationship income of...
$365,000 per year
Let's suppose you slipped up and only did this "on purpose" exercise every other day. That would give you...
$182,500 per year
Let's further suppose that only 20% of those every other day new "on purpose" relationships had actual relationship value. You would still created an additional relationship income of...
$36,00 per year
We're talking about an increase of real money for simply and easily creating one new relationship a day.
What happens when one of your "on purpose" relationship manifest greater value and much more income than you initially valued that relationship? Of course, your income increases. And it will happen and not just with one or two of your new relationships.
Some of my relationships have grown far beyond what I had originally intended. Some of these people I met "on purpose" have become friends and long-term, highly profitable clients. Others have provided additional business interests. For me the results of my "on purpose" experiment have been stunning.
One important thing to consider.
I know there are skeptics who will dismiss this entire idea. Others will think that purposely creating a relationship with someone solely for the purpose of extracting a thousand dollars or more from them is cold and wrong.
I don't believe it is. I offer great value for the services I provide. This is simply a strategy for assisting us in meeting new people and identifying with whom we want to do business.
In business, don't we concoct methods and strategies for marketing and selling our products and services? Aren't we already thinking on purpose when we make a presentation or a proposal to prospective client? Don't we have the goal in mind of selling that person on us and the product or service we're offering? Of course. But most of us are not purposeful in our approach. We know we have something of value and we're simply making that known to our potential customers and clients.
My concept of creating one new relationship a day is merely a purposeful strategy to insure that you continue to build viable and valuable relationships that will over time respond, realize and reciprocate for you in dutiful, purposeful business.
I don't think of these new "on purpose" relationships as cold, hopeful introductions. I value every one of them. Like all of my relationships I do what makes sense and what's right to earn their trust and their business.
Most, I'm happy and proud to say, have led a to fuller, richer business experience. Some have developed into strong, healthy personal relationships as well. Nearly each one has had far more monetary value for them than I purposely anticipated. And there are ones that have evolved into putting actual income for my business too.
I openly share this new spin on a crucial business building technique with you because I believe "relationship building" shouldn't be passe in business. It's a vital fact of business and the sooner you embrace a purposeful means to increase the amount of purposeful relationships in your life, the sooner you will realize a dramatic increase in your income.
Someone is destined to be my "New Relationship of the Day" today. Is it you? I invite you to make contact with me on purpose so I can add another one thousand dollars to your income this year. Chances are the income I can bring you will be a lot more. Email me and let's see what we can do together.

Turning Your Cash Flow From Negative to Positive
by Anna Tai
Live Within Your Means. This is a no brainer. If you spend everything you earn at the end of each month, you'll have nothing left to invest.
First and foremost, cut your expenses.
Here are a few ideas on managing your expenses to help you achieve your financial goals:
Take a look at your budget's top 10 or so monthly expenses, there are almost always at least one or two items that you could do without, that you'll end up with more cash at the end of each month.
Now is the time to ditch those bad habits of yours.
If you smoke, that will be the number one habit to kick. First- and second-hand smoking cause harm to both the one who smokes, and the people around him/her. Not to mention to raising tax on smoking habits.
Create a budget and stick to it. A budget helps you compare your monthly income and expenses, and determining needs versus wants.

Keep a budget and plan for your finance. Be frugal. Buy only what you can afford and need. Don't dress to impress your enemies.
Increase deductibles on your auto, homeowners and other insurance policies, which can help lower premiums
Pay off your mortgage as fast as you can, especially if you're paying mortgage insurance. Mortgage insurance protects the mortgage lender, not you or your family.
Pay off your bad debts
Employ these strategies to increase your income.
Sell extra stuff you have sitting around in your house. Things that you have no use of anymore. Sell them on Craigslist or have a garage sale.
Rent out your spare room. Millions of home owners worldwide are now renting out rooms or floors of their current homes for short periods of time on sites like Airbnb.
Rent out your car. Sites like Uber and Turo allow you to rent out the extra seats in your car - or the whole vehicle, if you're not too faint of heart!
Use your skills and time. Got extra time still after selling your stuff? Leverage your earning power during your off-time, evenings and weekends with your professional skills or personal hobbies to bring in some extra cash. If you love doing crafts, you can sell creative items on Etsy.
You can sell fruits from your tree at local farmer's market. In Hawaii, many houses have fruits trees in the yards. Do you have a special recipe that everyone enjoys? Sell that at local farmer's markets.
You can also earn extra money with cooking, house cleaning, babysitting or dog walking. The opportunity is limitless. You can list your services on sites like TaskRabbit. You can also sign up for Mechanical Turks at Amazon, where you can complete tiny miscellaneous task for a fee.
Starting a second career or a part-time opportunity to earn additional income.
Adjusting your W-2 allowances if you are expecting a tax refund, but consult with your tax advisor before making this change.

Spirituality - Definition - The True Inner Meaning
By Vijay Kumar Jain
Spirituality is one word which puts a human being on the highest pedestal of life. It is field of Spirituality traveling on which one reaches the last leg of cosmic life nay the form of human being himself!
The goal of Spirituality is attaining salvation (moksha in Hinduism)! From the beginning of the first manifestation as an amoeba to the last manifestation (the 8.4 millionth manifestation)... the goal of every life remains the same.
The phase of life as a human being announces that the life has come full circle. It is only as a human being that one can get enlightened (reach the stage of Nirvikalpa samadhi) and attain salvation (moksha in Hinduism). Reaching the stage of enlightenment is the last step in the field of Spirituality.
Spirituality is living life as it was meant to be... not as we may have desired or wanted living it. Living a life of choice is not the forte of all human beings. Those on the path of pure Spirituality... the true seekers of Spirituality are sometimes able to manifest destiny by establishing absolute control over it.
It is a certain fact that only the true seekers of Spirituality become the masters of their destiny. Knowingly or unknowingly many people who have a materialistic goal in life travel the path of Spirituality and become successful in life. It was not a happening by chance... all was the result of a law which cannot err. These highly acclaimed individuals unknowingly tread the path of pure Spirituality and achieved the goal of their life.
Spirituality in other terms means that before we ask God the Almighty for material riches to be bestowed upon us... we need to compensate by giving something equivalent or more back to the community. This is the path undertaken by most successful entrepreneurs.
In terms of Spirituality we are not supposed to get anything unless we promise to do something in return... in the system of God there is fair play all throughout. As we desire... so shall be the corresponding karma we would be required to perform. Mere false promises bring us nothing.
It was the forte of JRD Tata that he always loved his country and the countryman. The benefit of the society was foremost in his mind all the time. The prime reason why the Tata Empire is known as the foundation builder of India! Tata name itself is representative of building a technological Empire for the benefit of entire nation. This is what Spirituality is all about.
JRD Tata was a trustee par excellence. According to him everything belonged to God and he was merely a trustee carrying out the dictates of God. In his lifetime he never built a house for himself. His love for the material riches of life did not seem to exist at all. His every endeavor was aimed at improving the quality of life of human life and the country as a whole.
What a noble persona JRD Tata was... a true karma yogi indeed! He did not live Spirituality rather Spirituality lived in him. He was a perfect example of how a true spiritual seeker must live his life. JRD may have never admitted that he lived a spiritual life but unknowingly he practiced Spirituality every moment of his life.
JRD Tata followed the dictates of Bhagwad Gita throughout his life unknowingly. Apart from being a true karma yogi... he also excelled in teaching the core values to the society. He was one of the rarest kinds that have ever dwelled on mother earth as material riches and comforts in life never attracted him come whatever may.
JRD Tata excelled in human values to the extent that even most accomplished people on the path of pure Spirituality get dwarfed by his accomplishments. Spirituality is not only seeking the domain of God but even in day-to-day matters of life every human being needs to practice Spirituality.
The famous saying, "whatever we want others to do unto us... we should do unto them" forms the core teachings of Spirituality. It is not merely a saying. It has to be practiced in reality as was preached and advocated by Napoleon hill in his famous books "think and grow rich", "master key to riches" and the famous "law of success in sixteen lessons".
These three Bible books by Napoleon hill... "Think and grow rich", "master key to riches" and the famous "law of success in sixteen lessons" form the core of Spirituality. There is no argument about that. At every stage Napoleon hill has prophesied that before we can expect anything from God we need to give something back to the community. He was also a true practitioner of Spirituality from heart.
Spirituality definitely helps one take control of destiny. As we proceed on the path of pure Spirituality we tend to develop a positive approach towards life. Reeling all the time under a positive attitude of mind... One is able to fine-tune those critical aspects of life which are an absolute must if one needs to become the master of his own destiny.
Spirituality makes a perfect man out of a negative thinker. In the field of Spirituality there is no place for any negative thinking. One who has fixed a goal in life and always indulges in positive oriented thinking can not be a loser in life. It can never happen!
Spirituality imbibes the following virtues in a human being:
Spirituality makes you feel all the time that there is something higher than the mere existence as a human being.
Spirituality spells out that God exists within every living being as our soul (the atman within). It is God within us which guides us on the right path whenever we tend to go wrong.
Spirituality inculcates in every human being a feeling of positive ness all throughout. Floating on the positive mental plane brings one closer to our goal of life.
It is Spirituality and spirituality alone which prompts and guides one in the right direction whenever we feel cheated by the senses prevailing upon us. To be able to come out of the clutches of the five senses is what Spirituality is all about.
If we desire to know God truly then we need to follow the path of pure Spirituality. It is only as a true spiritual seeker shall we realize God one-day.
It is a Spirituality which cuts short the path and makes the whole world look like a family. In the spiritual domain there is no space for different religions, dogmas or creeds. Our wanton desires cease to exist... the moment Spirituality takes complete control over us!
Spirituality truly is the essence of life. However materialistic we maybe on the earthly plane... there shall come a day when Spirituality would completely wipe us clean of all the impurities within us.
Without Spirituality the life or a human being is like a rudderless boat going round and round in the unfathomable sea of life.
It is Spirituality which teaches every human being the real value of life... being spiritual is not being religious alone... Spirituality teaches us the core values of life... the real essence of us!
It is only through the medium of Spirituality that God is able to guide the mankind towards its destined goal. As many human beings... as many different spiritual paths!
Right from day one when we are born and until the last breath... it is Spirituality which keeps our heart pumping all through. It is Spirituality which clears all doubts that our soul (the atman within the body) is the real master and our body is but to decay and die.
Spirituality clears all doubts related to the concept of God. Whenever in doubt... the wise follow the dictates of the spiritual masters of the era! Every spiritual being merges his identity with the Supreme Being (the Almighty God).
Spirituality confirms that life has to go on... it is a journey to be completed in many phases (8.4 million manifestations in fact). It is Spirituality which confirms that the life of a human being of 70 to 80 years is but a trickle in the total life a span of our soul (the atman within). The total life span of the soul being a maximum of 96.4 million earthly years!
Spirituality has no relationship whatsoever with religion. Following a religion means following the dictates of a successful spiritual master... one who has already covered the journey and has become capable of guiding the mankind to its logical end.
Religion is meant for living a single span of earthly life. On the contrary Spirituality guides every living being to its logical end in the unending cosmic journey undertaken by the soul (our atman within).
It is Spirituality alone which removes the fear of death from those who have released the pinnacle of spiritual life. Spirituality gives you a commanding position in life. One can work for above 23 hours per day having gained absolute control over sleep. This is not only possible but can be observed by watching the topmost rung of spiritual masters.
The presence of Spirituality in our lives cannot be done away with for it forms the inner core of our manifested physical life. Behind every success lies the core of Spirituality which guides one inherently all throughout the cosmic journey.
In practice... when I started in search of God at an early age of 13 years... I was so confused about life that I thought it was only the religious masters who shall guide me on the right path. I was so wrong.
It was at the age of 37 that I came in contact with God one-to-one basis. It was the pinnacle of my spiritual pursuit. My life had come full circle. This was to be my last manifestation. I had reached the end of cosmic life. The distinction between Spirituality and religion were now absolutely clear to me.
Having been able to traverse the path as a true seeker of Spirituality and reach the end goal has been a really pleasant experience. Everything I try to convey to the community is based on true personal experience of life. Being my last sojourn on Mother Earth I have but to impart the pearls of Spirituality I have learned before I leave the mortal frame.
Spirituality is not to be practiced merely in theory. Spirituality is not contained in the sacred textbooks alone. We simultaneously need to practice pure Spirituality and try reaching the end of the cosmic life. Achieving salvation in the present life would be something every human being would desire.
Why not all of us practice pure Spirituality all the time!
